"Sneak to the Peak" for great family skiing, only 45 minutes from
Portland and half an hour from North Conway in beautiful Bridgton
Maine. Shawnee Peak was previously called Pleasant Mountain, and the
skiing here is very pleasant, laid back and super scenic. From atop
Pleasant Mountain, you can see the White Mountains of New Hampshire
and Moose Pond below.

over 40 trails and glades, and 5 lifts including a CTEC summit
triple new in 2010 with a conveyor system that automatically
loads skiers and riders onto the chair (jazzy new technology to
Maine skiing that allows the lift to run at 525' line speed).
Shawnee Peak is the perfect size for the
learning family, the leisure skier and those longing to make tracks
after work. With skiing on two sides, the North face and the
East side, you have your choice of wide groomed boulevards, fun
forested glades and twisting tree lined trails, most with awesome
views of Mount Washington. Two terrain parks keep the free riders
content, along with special events like an on snow MBX race and
snowmobile uphill climbs.

Peak really shines at night, as northern New England’s largest night
skiing and boarding facility – half the trails are lit. Shawnee
plays host to corporate race leagues, school ski team races, and
Terrain Park jams under the lights. As a
family operated ski
mountain, the Peak offers some innovative super savers and family
lift ticket deals for day, night and twilight.
If you are an early bird, rent the 4 person cab and cat ski on Shawnee Peak's first tracks of cord. The ski school here does a fantastic job teaching first timers to ski as well as offering women’s ski clinics taught exclusively by professional women ski instructors.
