Attitash Ski Area
New Hampshire’s third largest ski resort is Attitash Mountain Resort, part of Vail Resorts – so Attitash is on the Epic Pass. Attitash is two interconnected mountains for skiing and riding – Attitash and Bear Peak. Located in Bartlett New Hampshire, just above North Conway, Attitash is easy to get to. This family friendly ski area offers terrain diversity – beginner terrain to terrain parks and steep trails too, plus on mountain lodging. We love Attitash Peak’s long winding trails like Tightrope and Saco, to exciting glades and wide-open cruisers on Bear Peak like Wandering Skis and Morning Star. A few steeper pitched runs Avenger and Kachina add excitement but nothing too extreme. You can ski between the two peaks relatively easily – follow the well-placed Bear and Attitash signs.
The views of the Presidential Range from both peaks are spectacular. Each Attitash and Bear Peak base area offer convenient parking and a base lodge with skier services, dining and a bar. On the Attitash side, you will find the impressive Base Camp and Learning Center, with ski school and a dedicated triple chair learning area with a magic carpet as well. The Mountaineer is a high-speed summit quad accessing the Summit.
On the Attitash side, Ptarmigan’s Pub at Attitash’s base lodge is the better bar for sit down dining at lunch with a view of the slopes. Ptarmigan often has live music for après ski too!
On the Bear Peak side is on-mountain lodging, the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel, with suite-style rooms, and an outdoor heated pool, perfect for a family après ski. Bear Peak also has two beginner trails and a handle tow for new skiers and riders. The Attitash Bear Peak on-snow experience is typically well-covered and mostly groomed.
Attitash is a fun ski area to hit when visiting the Mt Washington Valley and North Conway. You have lots of lodging options between the chain hotels, inn and resorts in North Conway, slopeside condos and the Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash, or the quaint town of Jackson where you will find lovely inns like The Wentworth and Eagle Mountain House.
Attitash is part of Vails Epic Pass, along with Wildcat just 20-minutes away, and your lift ticket is valid at both. You can ski the morning at Attitash and go to Wildcat in the afternoon for example or make a weekend of skiing the two.
