We look forward to our March 2026 visit to Ski Pila and our slopeside stay up on the mountain at the Hotel Lion Noir with its panoramic views, spa and wellness center, bar and restaurant with traditional local fresh cuisine.

Set above the Roman town of Aosta, with beautiful views of Mont Blanc (Monte Bianco) and the Matterhorn, Pila is a modern, purpose-built resort, with an excellent snow record.

70 kms of perfect pistes, impressive snowmaking, served by modern ski lifts including the Aosta Gondola from the historic village, skiers find a mix of tree-lined runs and vast, wide, open slopes. Du Bois is a fun tree run from the Chamolé chair.

The Aosta-Pila gondola lift connects to two, arriving at Platta de Grevon (2,730m) with 360 views of some of the highest mountains in Europe, including Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, Grivola, Gran Paradiso,

Aosta at the base is a delight, Roman and medieval architecture and a pedestrian zone, are ideal for lively friendly Italian boutiques and cafes. Its a tapestry of Italian alpine culture – past and present. All this winter wonderland is just 90-minutes from Milan, and near other Aosta Valley ski resorts, San Bernardo, La Thuile, Courmayeur.
